NO SURPRISE ACT
The No Surprises Act was enacted on January 1, 2022. As a result, we are required to notify you of your federal rights and protections against surprises in any bills you receive from us.
The Act is typically focused on services provided to self-pay or uninsured clients (there’s also a requirement to let clients know if they’re seeing an out-of-network provider), yet we’ve chosen to include the information here for any client to explore.
We’ve provided the list of codes we use to bill insurance companies and what we charge for each. (Please note that all insurance companies reduce the amount charged to what they consider to be “customary and reasonable” for the area.) Although it’s not possible to provide a one-size-fits-all suggestion for the length of treatment, we encourage you to speak openly and honestly about this issue with your therapist. The length of time for therapy is a collaborative process between client and therapist with the client’s right of self-determination
